DC Comic's Very Good Year
A very nice Poison Ivy. Aside from Star Wars, DC Comics had a very good year. This particular costume was not in the booth like the following, but I thought she would be a good place to start.
One of the two Raven costumes I saw.
For any of you that read the book, this is a good pairing. The Huntress and Batman. I also have to give this Huntress credit, she pulled off the belly costume. (One of the stupidest superhero costume changes in a long time. Who'd want to go on patrol in a belly shirt? You want protection, not erection.)One of the two Raven costumes I saw.
The Flash was the second person I saw at the booth. I was going to get his picture, when he said in character, "HOLDONIKNOWWHEREBOOSTERGOLDIS!" and was gone in about three steps.
Then, what seemed like five seconds later, he comes darting back in, "OKIFOUNDBOOSTERHEREHEIS." All I could think was "This little mother is The Flash in disguise as a fanboy." Blue Beetle had more of a smarmy, Booster Gold (one for the readers) personality, but it was still cool that they acted in character. It is important that the person in costume matches the character they pick physically. Last year, we saw a fat Jack Sparrow from "Pirates from the Carribean." He really did zip around. Next year, maybe I'll go as The Flush.
The best part is when the group started posing in panaramas. This is where a group concept pays off. They posed so well, I wish I could snap pictures with a digital camera faster.
These poor guys... when you hold these positions, you are waiting for about ten cameras to get theirs. There's a muscle on top of your thigh that holds most of the weight for these positions. Every once in a while, they'd have to break. They really gave to the audience.
Told you they were into it. Most of you know who the guy in back is from one of the bad Batman movies. Bane.

Okay some of those are pretty cool...can't snark on the cute Wonder Tot and Supergirl and the grown-up Wonder Woman, Spectre, Blue Beetle, and Flash are all pretty cool too.
Nice photos.
